Occupied with the news: Twitter delivers for live coverage

When the payloaders roll in you know there’s no excuse not to let news flow in.

And that is exactly what Alexandra Sanders and Bill Kaempffer did as the city of New Haven closed in on Occupy New Haven.

The closing in turned out to be short-lived that day, but what was going on on the Green needed to be shared as it occurred. And of course, that’s where Twitter comes in.

Combined with Cover It Live, the pair of reporters and the digital platform could not be beat for giving folks up-to-the-minute updates of a scene that for at least a few moments got rather heated.

This way of doing business is getting to be a great habit.

Check out the fast and furious and full live coverage.
