When I asked my photo editor, Cathy Avalone, to livestream the July 4 fireworks in Middletown, she immediately started to think about ways to make it more fun.
Then she grabbed her MacBook Pro and ran outside to the pre-firework festival outside City Hall. She livestreamed herself – starting with the elevator ride from the office – and a reporter interviewing people full of anticipation for the Big Event.
